Pinetop

Last weekend we went with Ryan, Jill, and Brandon up to Pinetop and stayed at a friend's cabin. The boys had a blast playing in the snow together. It just snowed there over Christmas and there was plenty on the ground. It was so exciting to get to observe Owen seeing snow for the first time and figuring out how much fun it was. His favorite part was just throwing snow up in the sky. He also enjoyed making snow angels and sledding (if you can call it sledding when you're actually using a boogie board). Owen had so much fun that he never said he was cold or asked to go inside. I was really amazed at how long he lasted. We went to a sledding hill that was fun, but maybe a little too fast for the boys. Sutton was a trooper the whole time and hung out mostly in the house. I think he liked the fire. It was also fun for us to beable to hang out with Ryan and Jill. It was Colin's birthday on Friday and this was a kind of celebration for us. Happy birthday my love... I hope you had a great weekend (I did)! It was so nice that he had Christmas Eve and New Years Eve off.

For New Year's Eve we had Carrie, Jason, Kierstyn, and Rory over for a really exciting night of playing with the kids and playing Scattegories after they went to sleep (I know you're all jealous that you couldn't have such an exciting night). But it was a lot of fun for us. We had an eight o'clock countdown with the kids, who loved the confetti and party horns. Our family is obsessed with scattegories. I've conveniently forgotten who won. Somewhere in the madness of the last couple of weeks we also went to McCormick Railroad park with Carrie and Kiki, which was a lot of fun. Oh yeah, and to zoo lights with the whole Beymer clan (minus Rory the punk). Fun Fun. And we just went and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks with my friend Stacia and her kids (one of which was born the same day as Sutton). So, fun all around. I just need to sleep for a couple of weeks now and I'll be good as new :).
